Listen to George Edwards’ (our Executive Director) interview on Port City Radio about the release of the Most Threatened Historic Places list, the importance of preserving the NC Preservation Tax Credits and our guided architectural walking tours.
Join us Friday, April 25 at 10 AM at 228 North Front Street for a rally to support the retention of the NC Tax Credits for Historic Preservation. Mayor Bill Saffo and County Commission Vice Chair Beth Dawson will speak in support of the North Carolina preservation tax credit program. As you know the legislature has announced its plan to allow these economic development, job creation incentives to sunset at the end of 2014. Please join us for this news conference and show your support for the tax credits. After the news conference several buildings that used the credits will be open and a visit to the new Good Vibes brewery construction site (a tax credit project) will be available.
